Since she became CEO of Future plc in 2014, Zillah Byng-Thorne has led the company to record-breaking online audience engagement across their websites. Their brands – including T3,, and – get 53 million monthly website hits, and reach 56 million people every month through their social media channels. Future’s magazines have a combined circulation of 1.2 million across more than 50 titles covering video games, technology, films, music, photography and more. Zillah joins us at Magfest to talk about Future’s audience engagement model and how the company has developed since her arrival, as well as sharing her vision for the future of the company.

Zillah Byng-Thorne became Chief Executive of Future plc in April 2014. She joined Future in November 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Future Zillah was Chief Financial Officer of Trader Media Group, one of Europe’s largest multimedia publishers, serving latterly as interim Chief Executive until July 2013. Prior to this Zillah was Finance Director of Fitness First Group Ltd, and CFO of the Thresher Group. Zillah is a qualified accountant, has a Msc in Behavioural Change & a MA in Management, she is a non-executive director of Paddy PowerBetfair & GoCompare.
